ZOOF: iVRI DRAFT TEST

With ZOOF, V-tron tests iVRi installations for the functioning of cellular (4G) and WIFI-P (ITS-G5) data streams. The so-called iSAT. Applicable for, among other things, the Talking Traffic platform. V-tron tests GLOSA services and other C-ITS solutions. ZOOF is V-tron’s platform, which over the years has developed into a renowned partner in the world of C-ITS.

Due to the delivery of Talking Traffic iVRIs by roadside suppliers, ZOOF iVRI acceptance testing is becoming increasingly important for governments and local administrators. This is in order to test the functionality of the accepted C-ITS products.

V-tron is an independent testing partner that has test vehicles and specialised engineers to test the local infrastructure for cellular (4G) and WIFI-P (ITS-G5) data flows. V-tron provides a tailor-made analysis and test report after completion of the acceptance test.

ZOOF GLOSA (Green Light Optimised Speed Advice) is an app that advises road users in urban areas on the optimal driving speed, lane availability, potential hazards on the road and time to green. The app has been extensively tested by V-tron in various city centres throughout Europe.

With ZOOF GLOSA, an OBU (on-board unit) establishes a connection with WiFi-P G5 and the 4G/LTE network, which communicates with the iVRIs (intelligent traffic control systems) along the road and passing vehicles. This provides personalised advice about the current situation, such as the traffic light turning green in 5 seconds. That’s ZOOF: driving smart together.
