ZOOF is the app for iPhone and Android phones that advises road users on the optimal driving speed, how to behave in entry and exit lanes, and the following distance after traffic jams. By following this advice, you earn points (ZOOFies), which you can exchange for great rewards from ZOOF’s partners. ZOOF can currently be used on the A58 and A67 motorways, from Tilburg to Eindhoven and Venlo. <\/p>\n

ZOOF is a product that originated from a collaboration between the regional government agency BBZOB (Beter Benutten Zuid-Oost Brabant), SRE (Samenwerkingsverband Regio Eindhoven), the Province of North Brabant and V-tron. Together, the government and the business community are working to improve traffic flow on Dutch motorways. As part of the Brabant InCar III and Spookfiles A58 projects, ZOOF is conducting trials on the A58 and A67 motorways on behalf of the government, with a focus on improving traffic flow. <\/a><\/p>\n

ZOOF C-ITS (Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems) is an app that advises road users on the optimal driving speed, lane availability and potential hazards on the road.
The ZOOF C-ITS app is still in the development phase. The app has been extensively tested on the A16 motorway between Rotterdam and Dordrecht and on the Reims ring road in France. This was part of the European InterCor <\/a>project. <\/p>\n

With ZOOF C-ITS, an OBU (on-board unit) establishes a WiFi-P G5 connection with the roadside and passing vehicles. This enables personalised advice to be given about the current situation.
That is ZOOF: driving smart together. <\/p>\n

SpookFiles A58 project and has been further developed in this form

ZOOF GLOSA (Green Light Optimised Speed Advice) is an app that advises road users in urban areas about the optimal driving speed, lane availability, potential hazards on the road and time to green. This version of ZOOF is still in the development phase. The app was extensively tested by V-tron in the city centre of Helmond during the Pre-Test-Fest GLOSA in June 2018. Further testing will be carried out by V-tron in collaboration with the ITS corridor project team in England during the Test-Fest Glosa in October 2018. This is part of the European InterCor <\/a>project. <\/p>\n

With ZOOF GLOSA, an OBU (on-board unit) establishes a connection with WiFi-P G5 and the 4G\/LTE network, which communicates with the iVRIs (intelligent traffic control systems) along the road and passing vehicles. As mentioned above, ZOOF is currently in the development phase. At present, ZOOF consists of three separate services. These services are available at various locations throughout Europe. <\/p>\n

In the coming months, ZOOF will be further developed and merged into a single, standalone service that supports you as a road user. In this way, V-tron makes C-ITS services accessible to you. That is ZOOF: driving smart together. <\/p>\n
